Correct me if i am wrong but i don t think this is true.
Usb 3 1 type c port on laptop. The macbook spec sheet says its usb type c. Usb type c is just a connector shape and the underlying technology could just be usb 2 or usb 3 0. The number refers to the universal serial bus revision while the letter refers specifically to the shape and digital contacts in the connection.
Usb type c isn t the same thing as usb 3 1 though.
